My garden is my rock. It has a delicate beauty, and I know exactly how vulnerable it is—it can wilt, get hit by blight, or bake in a brutal summer heatwave. Yet, even with all those challenges, it remains my ultimate safe space. I love watching it feed the local wildlife, sharing its bounty with the birds and the bees. The struggles only make our bond stronger. When life gets too heavy, working in the garden clears my head. We fall into a rhythm where the physical labor tires out my body but completely recharges my spirit. As a reward, I get a front-row seat to nature: darting hummingbirds, fluttering butterflies, and busy bees. It brings me immense joy and puts food on my table. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
